San Diego Beaches
San Diego has some of the finest beaches in the world. Rear-round, you will see surfers catching waves, endless beach volleyball games and people who feel both empowered and energized by the Pacific Ocean and the cliffs that confront it. Visitors and locals know that a few hours at the beach can reinvogorate the body and feed the soul.
Each beach area has its own character and amenities (or lack thereof). La Jolla Shores Beach, for example, has some of the gentlest waves of all San Diego Beaches and is also adjacent to the San Diego Underwater Ecological Reserve. Black’s Beach, on the other hand, is more remote and is bordered by towering cliffs. The rocky shore and pounding surf make Windansea a photographer and artist’s favorite.
