Do Deployed Soldiers Get the Opportunity to Vote?

Military Vote 2010

Does Military Vote Count?

Forget the extra day that might be allowed for soldiers to return their ballots in this 2010 election.

It seems many who are actively defending our country won’t even have the opportunity to vote in this election.  Tentative reports from Afghanistan indicate that many soldiers have not received ballots–let alone mail that was sent months ago.

So what good would this extra day do–except make good media feed? A vote not received–or sent too late won’t even count.

Suggestion: Why not spare us a fraction of the political advertising and send impartial “proctors” overseas to collect ballots from our soldiers and reverently return them to each state?

My arms are crossed and one foot is tapping…..in unison with other parents whose kids are serving–including Lisa-Anne Mosher.
