Loan Modification Advocate--<br> I am beginning to think the dingbat San Diego real estate agents who recently entered the market were former San Diego Loan hacks who put homeowners into the messes they are now in. Have I missed something???

And why am I feeling that we are in deja-vu all over again? I hoped thought most of the dingbat agents had left the business after the crash of the 2003-2006 real estate market. ------------------------------ good call

Keahi:

San Diego real estate, unfortunately, was infected with a number of unethical agents and loan brokers.

I still believe, more than ever, that separate licensing should be required for California real estate agents and loan representatives. Too many are wearing both hats.

Keith,

Santa Barbara is blessed. Some day, San Diego's North County shall be so fortunate.

When looked at as a whole, San Diego real estate has been slaughtered. Our north county coastal areas, though, have fared much better than the rest of the county.

Would you expect anything less from those who made the loans in the first place?

Roberta,

Interesting to read. We are luckily not having the same issues up here in the Santa Barbara area. Both on the amount of REO's as well as who is representig them. Good luck
