Fun at San Diego Farmer’s Markets
July 24th, 2007 Categories: Carlsbad Real Estate, Oceanside real estate, San Diego Real Estate
Let’s take a break in shopping for homes in San Diego.
For those in search of fresh produce, flowers, honey and other edible goodies, nothing beats an open air farmer’s market.
Numerous farmer’s markets can be found throughout the San Diego metropolitan area–six days per week. Most are established venues, but are subject to change in location, hours and season. If you are driving any distance, you may want to call to make sure the market will be open at your planned time of visit.
Alternatively, you may wish to verify the information via the San Diego Farm Bureau site .

[...] by Roberta Murphy When it comes to serving healthy school lunches, San Diego’s are the healthiest in the nation, second only to Pinellas County Schools in Florida. This honor comes directly from an annual report issued by the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine. The San Diego Unified School District earned an A- for its healthy lunch offerings, said officials with the SDUSD. Their score? 93 percent. This is the second year the district has earned second place honors for offering students fresh and healthful low-fat meals which also include two vegetarian meals twice a week. [...] Fun at Oceanside and San Diego Farmer’s Markets [...]
Hi! My name is Lindsay and I was hoping a San Diego rep could call me back so I can get some specific details regarding the vendors at the Farmer’s Markets. I work at Life After 50 Magazine and many of our readers are loyal attendees of the various Farmer’s Markets throughout San Diego. I am thinking it would be beneficial for both the markets and our readers if we featured the markets in a special editorial piece in our paper. We could feature the various vendors at the markets on a one page display. We are the number one magazine distributer for the Baby Boomers in Southern California so anyone who advertises within, would get a huge amount of exposure.
I am hoping someone could call me back so we can discuss this opportunity further.
Thank you.
